SEISC soccer pairings announced

It’s that time of the year again, where some of the top soccer teams in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference square off for the title of conference champion.

There has been a change in the SEISC Soccer Tournament this year, as postseason play begins next week.

In the past, it has been an eight team tournament with quarterfinals on Friday evening and then semifinals, Consolation game and Finals on Saturday.

This schedule has been changed due to the IHSAA 1st round substate games being moved to Monday May 15.

The conference Athletic Directors and coaches decided that a game on Friday and then two games on Saturday was too much with the 1st round Substate games on Monday.

For 2023 only, the SEISC tournament will be a four team tournament with no consolation game.

Next year's conference schedule has been adjusted for the substate date and we will return to an eight team tournament in 2024.

Pairings for this year's tournament are:

Friday — 5/12/23 — 5 p.m. @ Notre Dame, Burlington

#1 ND/WB vs. #4 Central Lee

Friday — 5/12/23 — 7 p.m. @ Mediapolis

#2 Mediapolis vs #3 Columbus/WMU

Saturday — 5/13/23 — 10 a.m. @ Wapello
