Seniors compete at Southeast Iowa All-Star volleyball game

MEDIAPOLIS — The 28th Annual Southeast Iowa All-Star volleyball game was held at Mediapolis High School on Saturday. A handful of area players were in hand, including Mt. Pleasant’s Kenna Lamm and the Winfield-Mount Union duo of Morgan Grelk and Carlee Sloan.
Players at the Southeast Iowa All-Star Game are nominated and voted on by coaches of the Southeast Conference and Southeast Iowa Super Conference.
The tams were divided up into the Black Team and the Coral team. The Black squad was coached by Wapello head coach Kenna Greiner and New London head coach Lindsey Johnson. The Coral team was led by Coach Melissa Freesmeier of Holy Trinity and Coach Maureen Heath of West Burlington.
The Coral team took home the win in a three-game sweep. Coral won sets 25-11, 25-23 and 25-13.
