Serving lifts IMS over Louisa-Muscatine

IMS served 15 aces on Tuesday night as it swept visiting Louisa-Muscatine by scores of 25-22, 25-12 and 25-11 in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division volleyball match inside Hillcrest Union.

IMS (12-11, 3-2 SEISC North) served 92 percent on the night. Junior Casey Perez was 12-for-13 serving with five aces, and junior Kristin Davis was 14-for-16 with four aces. Senior Keilah Brokaw went 11-for-12 from the service line, and junior Olivia Yutzy was a perfect 10-for-10 with an ace.

Yutzy spiked down 11 kills to lead IMS offensively. Senior Laura Hochstetler added six kills, and senior Anya Slabaugh had six. Perez dished out 25 assists.

Yutzy also had a team-high 10 digs on the night, while Hochstetler and Davis both added 10. Perez chipped in seven digs, and senior Naomi Miller had four.
