?Although we gave up a few more points than we would have liked to, I felt tonight our girls played one of our most complete games all year,? said Fairfield coach Derek Philips. ?We hustled after loose balls, attacked the basket and finished most of our shots. It was a great way to end our home schedule.?
Fairfield lost the ?B? game, which was one-half of play, by the final score of 14-4. Mady Rauscher and Natalie Angstead scored two each for Fairfield.
?Washington was tough, but we started off too slow,? said Philips. ?We gave up 12 points in the first quarter, which is tough to come back from. We played with much more intensity in the second quarter.?
The seventh-graders look to complete their undefeated season tomorrow night at Fort Madison.
