Seventh grade girls swept by FM

The Mt. Pleasant seventh grade girls' basketball teams fell at home to Ft. Madison on Tuesday night. The 'A” team fell 24-13, and the 'B” team dropped theirs 18-6.

The 'A” team trailed 6-0 after one quarter and 12-4 at halftime. The Panthers oustcored the Bloodhounds 6-2 in the third quarter to cut the lead to 14-10, but Ft. Madison ran away in the fourth. Elsie Lange scored seven points in the loss, and Emma Starr had six.

The 'B” team trailed 4-0 after the first quarter and 16-2 at halftime. The Bloodhounds led 16-4 after three quartrs and the two teams split the fourth quarter 2-2.

Jolynn Keomanivong scored four points to lead the 'B” team. Kierra Parrish, Gabriela Perez and Malia Anderson each scored two.

The 'A” team is now 1-3 on the year. The 'B” team sits at 2-2.
