Shrader leads Demon softball girls

The Washington High School softball team will be looking to make steady progress this season, featuring a lineup heavy on youth, but also heavy on players with varsity experience.
Angie Shrader takes over the reigns of the varsity program after serving as junior varsity coach under both Cary Justmann and Sandra Buhrow. She brings a wealth of experience as a player and familiarity with the Demon program. The coach said to look for a slightly more aggressive style this season, with runners in motion and attempting to force opponents mistakes. So far the formula has worked, as Washington players have stolen nine bases in the first four games while getting cut down on the bases just once.
