Sigourney-Keota edges Wapello in high-scoring affair

Sigourney-Keota defeated Wapello 50-44 in a high-scoring Homecoming game in Sigourney.

Junior Kolton Greiner rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries for the Savage Cobras (2-2, 1-1 Class 1A District 6), and freshman Payton Crawford ran for 69 yards and two scores. Junior quarterback Luke Lyle added 175 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.

Lyle also completed three of his four passes for 59 yards and two touchdowns. Greiner caught a 33-yard touchdown pass, and senior Kyle Ferree had a 23-yard touchdown catch.

Junior Alex Rollinger was 11-for-20 passing for 259 yards and three touchdowns for the Indians (2-2, 0-1 District 6). Senior Brandon Lincoln caught four passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns, and sophomore Logan Grimm made three catches for 42 yards and a score.

Lincoln also rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown, and Rollinger ran for 90 yards and a score.
