Sigourney-Keota sails past Columbus

SIGOURNEY - Sigourney-Keota kept its football record unblemished at 7-0 with a 59-6 win over Columbus High School Friday.
Sam Sieren churned out two touchdowns and 107 yards rushing on 10 carries while SK teammate Brady Duwa totaled 63 yards and two touchdowns with just three carries. JD Stout had three TDs and 67 yards on seven carries.
The Cobras continued their ability to cause turnovers with Cade Molyneaux recovering a fumble while Jack Clarahan and Clay Morse each pick off a pass.
Nate Schuster led the defense with 5.5 tackles including three for loss.
'We will continue to work on our day to day process of growing as a program,” Columbus coach Tyler Kibbe said.
Logan Bright caught a touchdown pass for the Wildcats score. Tucker Bright led the defense with 5.5 tackles.
Columbus hosts Wilton Friday. SK plays at Wapello.
