Slabaugh's four TDs leads Mid-Prairie JV to win
Sophomore Austin Slabaugh ran for four touchdowns as the Mid-Prairie junior varsity football team blew out Columbus 46-16 on Monday night.
Slabaugh ran for touchdowns of 1, 44 and 1 yards in the first half as the Golden Hawks built a 33-0 lead by the intermission. Slabaugh added a 4-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and finished with 245 yards on 22 carries.

Sophomore Austin Slabaugh ran for four touchdowns as the Mid-Prairie junior varsity football team blew out Columbus 46-16 on Monday night.
Slabaugh ran for touchdowns of 1, 44 and 1 yards in the first half as the Golden Hawks built a 33-0 lead by the intermission. Slabaugh added a 4-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and finished with 245 yards on 22 carries.
Freshman Karson Duwa added 87 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 11 carries. He ran for a 6-yard touchdown to open the scoring in the first quarter, and then ran for a 45-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter when there was a bad snap on a punt.
Freshman Ryan Cortum was 3-for-4 passing for 31 yards, and he threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to sophomore Jacob Kukuzke in the second quarter. Freshman Jacob Adrian made one catch for 14 yards, and sophomore Trent Fisher had a 4-yard reception.
Freshman Cameron Tolander made 17 tackles and forced a fumble to lead the Golden Hawk defense. Slabaugh added six tackles, and freshman Nolan Faselt had five. Sophomore Heath Schintler also recovered a fumble for Mid-Prairie.
