MT. PLEASANT - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will be making some changes to its fall sports schedule in 2020, and one of those changes is to move a couple of sports to the Spring of 2021.
Earlier this week, the SLIAC decided to bump back volleyball, as well as men and women's soccer, placing those sports in the spring slate.
The SLIAC will continue on with the men and women's cross-county and golf schedules, but will limit the amount of competitions. Teams also will be required to follow all local, state and national health organizations' directives.
The fate of the IW football season still has not been decided. The Tiger football team competes in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, which has still not come to a decision on the fall sports schedule as of presstime.
The Union will update its readers as more information is made available on the fate of the 2020 fall sports season.
