SLIAC postpones all fall sports

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced this weekend that it would postpone all fall sport athletic contests. The conference decided this after receiving and reviewing the latest information from the National Collegiate Athletic Association concerning the safe return to sport for fall 2020.
The SLIAC had initially postponed the men's and women's soccer seasons as well as the volleyball season. Cross-country and women's golf, which are normally held during the fall season, were initially going to play on, but those sports will have to be reviewed for the possibility of moving to spring of 2021.
The vote officially postpones all fall sport athletic contests, competitions, scrimmages and other shared athletic activities against outside competition of any classification or nature. That axes any hopes of scrimmages for the Iowa Wesleyan teams.
The Union will have continued updates on SLIAC activities as they are made available.
