Small school football games this Friday night

The Union area’s small school football slate sees two clashes of area teams, as New London makes a short trip to Winfield-Mount Union in Class 8-Player, and Van Buren County heads north to Pekin in Class A.

The week sees a giant matchup of Top-10 teams in WACO and Iowa Valley in one of the top Class 8-Player games in the state. Columbus looks to knock off a ranked team in Lisbon, and Mid-Prairie aims to knock off rival Regina, which is ranked in the Class 1A poll.
