Mid-Prairie, Hillcrest, Pekin and Highland all win
Friday night saw a few girls basketball games get canceled due to poor road conditions, but seven games were still played, and four of them went to Union area squads.
After falling to Columbus, Highland bounced back with a big win over Winfield-Mount Union in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division. Hillcrest Academy and Pekin both win in SEISC North play, and Mid-Prairie dominated River Valley South opponent West Branch.
The Union area’s two SEISC South teams, Van Buren County and New London, both fell, as did WACO, which was playing against the formerly ranked Lone Tree Lions.
