EASTON VALLEY — The first of the small school football games will start just over 24 hours early, as Winfield-Mount Union takes on Easton Valley in the season opener in 8-Player football.
Both of the Union area’s Class 8-Player teams start the season on the road. WACO will play on Friday night with everyone else, but will also be traveling a long way, going to Central City for the opener.
Cardinal at New London is the only other Union area clash besides the Washington-Mid-Prairie showdown, but the two teams haven’t played since 2017. It will be New London’s return to 11-man football.
