Small school volleyball roundup: Highland, Hillcrest pick up wins

Highland 3, Pekin 2
Highland and Pekin went down to the wire on Tuesday evening, needing five sets to decide a winner.
The two traded sets back and forth, but it was Highland who had took the final set.
The Huskies were winners over the Panthers, 25-18, 16-25, 25-12, 19-25 and 15-13.
Hailey Brun finished with 10 kills for Highland. Brun also notched 11 digs.
Laney Skelton had 27 assists. Emersyn Schultz, Adeline Krotz and Katie Herrig all had three aces as well.
Hillcrest Academy 3, Louisa-Muscatine 1
Hillcrest Academy took care of business on Tuesday night against Louisa-Muscatine.
The Ravens won two straight matches 25-20 and 25-14 before the Falcons stole one 30-28. Hillcrest was able to seal it with a 25-23 win in the fourth set.
Malia Yoder finished with 25 kills in the win. Claire Withrow ended with 41 assists.
Yoder also tallied a team high 27 digs with Lydia Beachy following with 23.
Withrow finished with four aces as well.
No. 9 West Burlington 3, Van Buren County 0
Van Buren County had a tough time with the No. 9 ranked Falcons on Tuesday.
The Falcons won in three straight sets, never letting the Warriors score more than 15.
The final was 25-10, 25-10 and 25-15.
Iowa Valley 3, Keota 0
Iowa Valley got the better of Keota on Monday night in a sweep.
The Eagles were bested by the Tigers 25-10, 25-20 and 25-11.
Wapello 3, Winfield-Mt. Union 0
Winfield-Mt. Union suffered a loss on Tuesday from the hands of Wapello.
The Wolves kept it close, but were defeated 25-17, 26-24 and 25-16.
Kynlee Buffington finished with eight kills for WMU. Madisen Kellogg carded 14 assists.
Kellee Milks finished with 17 digs. Quin Smith, Milks and Kellogg each had an ace.
