Fairfield soccer players play a game of keep-away as part of the British soccer camp that was in Fairfield this week. Area soccer players aged 6-9 played from 9 a.m. to noon while an older group worked on skills from 5-8 p.m. each day this week at the Dexter Soccer Complex. A total of more than 40 players participated in the camp. Instructors were Katie of Birmingham, England, and Ash and Chris, both of Manchester, England. Instructors spend the summer months in the United States traveling around the Midwest, living with host families and instructing soccer camps.
