BOYS
Mid-Prairie 9, Highland 0 (Tuesday)
The Golden Hawks have yet to be beaten this season. With the win over Highland the streak is now at eight games.
Mid-Prairie scored three goals in the first half and topped that with six more in the second. The Golden Hawks took a total of 42 shots with 22 on goal.
Gunnar Gingerich scored three goals and had one assist in the match. Alex Bean added two goals and an assist. Noah Ford also scored two goals. Jackson Pennington had a goal and two assists. Daniel Rodgers tallied one goal. Owen Trimpe ended with two assists on the day. Riley Yoder had one assist.
Keeper Justice Jones had to make one save on the day.
Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union 2, Hillcrest Academy 1 (Monday)
Columbus was able to edge Hillcrest Academy with a goal in each half on Monday night.
Hillcrest got a goal back in the second, but the Wildcats were able to hang on.
Jorge Canchola scored a goal for the Ravens. Micah Gerber ended with one assist. Aiden Krabill made two saves in goal for Hillcrest.
GIRLS
Mid-Prairie 5, Cedar Valley Christian 1 (Monday)
Mid-Prairie had no problem with Cedar Valley Christian on the pitch.
The Golden Hawks scored three in the first and two in the second to send the Huskies packing.
Esther Hughes continues to show her scoring ability, finding the back of the net three times. Sophia Baker finished with two goals on the day. Kaitlin Martin added two assist.
Ainsley Lueck was great in goal, tallying 13 saves.
Burlington Notre Dame 10, Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union 0 (Monday)
The Wildcats struggled to contain the Nikes in the two’s matchup.
Notre Dame found the back of the net five times in the first and another five in the second.
