The Iowa high school softball season continues to wind down as just one week remains of the regular season.
Found below are the results from the past week.
Highland 19, WACO 0
Highland put up a dominant performance on Wednesday night against WACO. The Huskies scored eight runs in the first innings, seven in the second and four in the third to put the game away.
Kamryn Fink and Ella Schlabaugh each had two hits. Lilly Barre, Sienna Bell, Kinzie Ruess, Maiya Singbell, Kayce Schnoebelen and Joslyn Prottsman had one.
For WACO, Carlee Lunsford had one hit.
Highland 7, Keota 0
Highland defeated Keota on Wednesday night after a slower start. The Huskies were held scoreless through the first two innings, but picked it up in the third, scoring three runs.
Highland went on to score on ein the fifth and three more in the sixth.
Lilly Barre finished with three hits and four RBIs for Highland. Sienna Bell and Kayce Schnoebelen each had two hits. Maiya Singbell, Joslyn Prottsman and Ella Schlabaugh had one hit.
For Keota, Jessalyn Aller finished with two hits.
Hillcrest Academy 13, New London 5
Hillcrest Academy defeated New London on Thursday night. The Ravens scored 10 runs through the first three innings and the Tigers could never get back into it.
Kylee Statler, Clarie Withrow, Morgyn Nafziger and Delaney Shaw all had two hits. Malia Yoder, Hailey Chalupa and Ella Mize had one hit.
Cardinal 10, Moravia 0
Cardinal took care of business against Moravia on Wednesday. The Comets put up all 10 runs between the second and fourth inning.
Centerville 2, Van Buren County 1
Van Buren County came up just short against Centerville on Wednesday. The Warriors and Big Reds were tied 1-1 heading into the seventh, but Centerville walked it off with a run in the bottom of the inning.
Ashlynn Huff finished with two hits for the Warriors.
Holy Trinity Catholic 5, New London 0
New London was shutout against Holy Trinity on Wednesday. The Crusaders scored five unanswered against the Tigers.
Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont 24, Mid-Prairie 5
Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont put an offensive clinic against Mid-Prairie on Thursday. The Rockets scored 22 runs in the first two innings against the Golden Hawks.
