Van Buren County 11, Pekin 1
Van Buren County led Pekin 7-0 after two innings of action in the first of a doubleheader on Monday night.
The Panthers scored one in the bottom of the third, but that’s all they could bring home.
The Warriors scored a pair in both the fourth and fifth innings to seal it.
Kylee Roan led Van Buren County with three hits and two RBIs in the win.
Ashlynn Huff, Callie Kracht, Annabelle Cormier, Ivy Davison and Lexie Wiley all had one hit. Cormier and Huff all had two RBIs as well. Shae Batten, Kracht and Davison each had one RBI.
For Pekin, Paislee Coleman had two hits. Payten Coleman and Myah Bainbridge each had one hit. Bainbridge had one RBI on a home run.
Van Buren County 12, Pekin 0
In game two, Van Buren County scored four in the first, two in the second and six in the third for its second win over Pekin.
Ashlynn Huff had three hits and one RBI for Van Buren County.
Callie Kracht had two RBIs on two hits. Annabelle Cormier, Ivy Davison and Sophia Jirak all had two RBIs a piece.
Riley Cavaness finished with a pair of hits and one RBI.
Wilton 4, Mid-Prairie 2
Mid-Prairie led Wilton 1-0 after the third inning on Monday, but the Beavers went on to score three in the fourth for the lead.
Mid-Prairie came within one, 3-2, after one run in the fifth, but Wilton closed it out with one of its own in the sixth.
Dakota Mitchell had two RBIs for the Golden Hawks.
Madeline Schrader had two hits in the loss. Sophie Miller and Sydney Knebel each finished with one hit.
Knebel threw a complete game, giving up four runs (two earned) on seven hits and three strikeouts.
Wilton 11, Mid-Prairie 6
In the second game of the doubleheader between Wilton and Mid-Prairie, the Golden Hawks led 2-0 after the first inning.
Wilton went on to score four in the bottom half of the second, giving the Beavers a 4-3 lead heading into the third.
The Beavers went on to score two in both the third and fourth inning along with another three in the sixth for the victory.
Dakota Mitchell and Sydney Knebel each had two hits with two RBIs in the loss.
Sophie Miller ended with three hits.
Hannah Sellers finished with two hits and one RBI.
Morgyn Bender had one RBI and Molly Yoder ended with one hit and one RBI.
Kadence Grout pitched six innings, giving up 11 runs (five earned) on nine hits, six walks and five strikeouts.
Lone Tree 15, New London 3
New London scored one run in each of the first three inning on Monday, but the Tigers couldn’t contain the Lions as they scored all 15 through the opening four innings.
Natalie Burden, Morgan Jones and Sophie Malott each had one hit in the game.
Megan Lee and Emma Nye both finished with an RBI.
Lee threw 4.2 innings, allowing 15 runs (seven earned) on 13 hits, three walks and three strikeouts.
Mediapolis 14, Hillcrest Academy 5
Mediapolis scored eight run through the opening three frames on Monday and the Ravens could never come back.
Hillcrest Academy scored three in the third and two in the fifth.
North Mahaska 15, Keota 2
Keota trailed just 3-1 after the first inning on Monday night, but the Warhawks went on to score 12 in the next four innings.
