Softball roundup: Wildcats, Warriors, Wolves victorious

Columbus 11, Mediapolis 0 (Thursday)
Columbus had no problem with Mediapolis. The Wildcats scored once in the first and 10 in the fourth to win.
Libby White, Jocelyn Fulton and Bailey Rice all had two hits in the win. The three finished with three, two and one RBI. Sera Vela, Kennedy Woepking and Susy Herrera each had one hit. Vela, Herrera, Lily Coil, Victoria Howell and Aracely Garza each had an RBI.
Libby White pitched to a win in the contest.
Van Buren County 9, Mediapolis 0
The Warriors scored one in the third, five in the fifth and one in the sixth to down Mediapolis.
Annabelle Cormier, Callie Kracht, Ivy Davison, Alli Campbell, Cala Smith, McKenna Caviness and Kylee Roen all had a hit. Jade Balmer led with two RBIs. Caviness, Smith, Campbell, Davison, Kracht and Cormier all had RBIs as well.
Campbell took the win from the circle.
Wapello 5, Van Buren County 3 (Thursday)
Van Buren was down 5-0 in, the first three innings to Wapello. The Warriors began to climb back, but it wasn’t enough.
Cormier, Kracht, Davison and Smith all had hits in the loss. Caviness and Ashlynn Huff each had two RBIs.
Winfield-Mt. Union 11, Pekin 1 (Thursday)
The Wovles scored three runs in the second and scored a run in every other inning to defeat Pekin.
For Winfield, Makiah Lower and Josie Nelson had three hits. Lower also had an RBI. Keely Malone, Anna Anderson, Jobey Malone, Melina Oepping and Quin Smith all had two hits. Keely Malone finished with four RBIs as well. Jobey Malone and Smith also had one RBI. Aurey Meeker finished with one hit. Kaelyn Townsley ended with one RBI.
Claire Roth and Brooke Miller each finished with two hits. Alex Parsons and Quinnlyn Baker both had two hits. Baker also had an RBI.
Lower was carded the winner for Winfield. Miller threw for the Panthers.
Louisa-Muscatine 4, Highland 0
The Huskies and Falcons went scoreless for the first four innings, but the Falcons scored four in the fifth and sixth to pull out the win.
Sarah Burton, Payton Brun and Jessica Kraus had each of the Huskies three hits.
Kraus and Grace Batcheller threw for Highland in the loss.
Central Lee 12, New London 0 (Thursday)
Central Lee scored five in the second and seventh in the third to down New London.
The Tiger’s Megan Lee had one hit in the loss, New London’s sole run of the game.
Lee and Marlianna Woodsmall each pitched for the Tigers.
Lone Tree 13, Hillcrest Academy 1 (Thursday)
The Ravens one run came in the second inning, but the Lions scored 13 in three innings to win it.
