Softball team wins one of two at Oskaloosa
The Washington Demons softball team played in two games at Oskaloosa Tuesday, June 6, winning one of them.
The girls were behind in the first game 0-1 after the second inning, but would take the lead in the third after scoring two runs.
The girls added two more runs in the fifth to take the win 4-1.
Jessie Buchholz, Alexa Mitchell, Morgan Brinning and Kellie Dallmeyer each scored a run in the game.

The Washington Demons softball team played in two games at Oskaloosa Tuesday, June 6, winning one of them.
The girls were behind in the first game 0-1 after the second inning, but would take the lead in the third after scoring two runs.
The girls added two more runs in the fifth to take the win 4-1.
Jessie Buchholz, Alexa Mitchell, Morgan Brinning and Kellie Dallmeyer each scored a run in the game.
Molly Sparks took to the mound, giving up the one run on six hits while striking out three.
Oskaloosa scored a run in the first inning of the second game to take an early lead.
Washington tied the game after the top of the second, but Oskaloosa would regain the lead after adding another run in the bottom half of the frame.
Washington would tie the game in the fifth inning, but Oskaloosa would secure a victory after scoring two runs in the sixth and not allowing Washington to score in the seventh.
Both Buchholz and Brooke Stout would be the runners to cross the plate in the game.
Mitchell received the loss for the second game as she gave up the four runs on seven hits while walking two batters.
The girls take to the field at home tonight with a 9-6 record. They play in a conference doubleheader against Mt. Pleasant starting at 5:30 p.m.
