Softball: Van Buren County makes it five straight
Highland win streak at three with win over HTC

Van Buren County 15, Hillcrest Academy 3
Hillcrest Academy led 1-0 after the first inning, but the Warriors scored a whopping 14 runs in the second and would never give it up as an additional run in the third would end it.
Ivy Davison and Kylee Roan each had two hits in the victory. Roan finished with two RBIs in the win and Davison one.
Annabelle Cormier notched three RBIs as well.
Alli Campbell and Alicia Cumberland allowed a combined three runs (three earned) on two hits, two walks and three strikeouts.
For the Ravens, Delaney Shaw ended with two hits and Malia Yoder finished with one.
Shaw also had all three RBIs for the Ravens.
Highland 4, Holy Trinity Catholic 3
Highland and HTC were tied at three after the fifth inning on Wednesday, but the Huskies were able to win it with one run in the eighth inning.
Clarke 8, Cardinal 7
It took 10 innings to decide a winner between Clarke and Cardinal on Wednesday.
The two squads were tied at 7-7 after the eighth inning, but the Indians one run in the top of the 10th was enough to seal it.
Nicoa McClure had three hits in the loss for Cardinal. Brinlee Ostrander, Ava Ferrell, Cynthia Albert, Ashlynn Patrick and Summer LaRue all had one hit.
Kinsey Hissem finished with two RBIs and LaRue one.
West Burlington 10, Mid-Prairie 3
West Burlington scored six runs in the first inning against Mid-Prairie on Wednesday and the Golden Hawks could never made up the difference.
Mid-Prairie scored three in the final two innings, but that’s all they could get.
