Sosa throws two-hitter for Huskies

Highland improved its baseball record to 9-7 Monday with a 10-0 SEISC North Division baseball win over the visitors from Winfield-Mt. Union.
Jordan Sosa threw five innings with two hits and two walks allowed, striking out five. Zack Lasek pitched an inning in relief.
Jacob Leonard, Trey Lasek and Bill Laughlin had three hits apiece. Leonard hit a double and stole three bases.
Highland plays at IMS Wednesday.
Iowa Mennonite 10, Wapello 1
Trevor Leyden threw a complete game with five hits, five strikeouts and four walks in this SEISC North Division game at Wapello Monday.
Leyden, Jacob Boller and Blake Bontrager had two hits apiece. Boller had three RBI. Bontrager had a double.
IMS (10-6) plays at W-MU Tuesday.
Keota 11, Tri-County 1
Austin Waterhouse and Sam Sieren each had two hits in the home SICL win Monday.
Luke Hammen pitched two innings for the win. Bryce Greiner had four K's, two walks and two hits allowed in 3 1/3 innings pitched while Tyler Waterhouse struck out two in 2/3 of an inning.
Keota (10-5) plays at Iowa Valley Wednesday.
Highland 2, W-MU 1
In a home SEISC North Division softball game, Megan Hoenig gave up just three hits with no walks and three strikeouts for the win.
Dani Laughlin had two of the Huskies' five hits.
Highland (12-7) plays at Columbus today.

In a SEISC North Division game Saturday, Rubye Ney had two hits in a losing effort.
