Southeast Iowa Super Conference Shootout Pairings
New London and Winfield-Mt. Union set to square off for SEISC title

The SEISC has talent all around on both the boys and girls sides of the league.
This season, teams have shown out and fans will get to see the top teams from the North and South Division go head-to-head. With the release of this years conference pairings, there are intriguing matchups through in and throughout.
The girls games will be hosted by the North and played on Friday, while the boys will be hosted by the South and set for Saturday.
On the boys side, numerous teams have either been rated inside the top 10 or received votes in their class. They include, New London, WACO, Winfield-Mt. Union, Danville, Mediapolis, and West Burlington.
Two of those teams, Winfield-Mt. Union, 17-1, and New London, 15-1, are top seeds of the North and South Divisions. The two will play for the SEISC title.
The game is loaded with talent. New London is spear headed by the first and fourth best scorers in the South Division, juniors Blaise Porter and Kade Benjamin.
The Wolves have two young guns in the forms of sophomores Cam Buffington and Abram Edwards, the second and fifth best scorers in the North.
Both of the teams one loss has come from the hands of WACO.
The two will faceoff in the second of the two games hosted by New London. The first will pit the two-seeds from each division against each other. Danville, 16-2, and Mediapolis, 12-5, will go head-to-head.
Up north in Wayland, Cardinal, 13-6, is matched up with Pekin, 7-10. In the final game of the night, Hillcrest Academy, 13-4, will take on WACO, 14-4.
At West Burlington, Columbus, 4-14, battles Notre Dame, 6-12, and Wapello, 9-10, faces West Burlington, 8-9.
Holy Trinity Catholic will host matchups between Highland, 3-15, and Van Buren County, 3-14. The Crusaders, 5-14, will square off with Lone Tree, 5-13.
Central Lee, 0-18, and Louisa-Muscatine, 2-15, will go toe-to-toe at Central Lee.
On the girls side of things, area teams have seen a lot of success this season. Notre Dame, currently holds the No. 7 ranking in Class 1A, Mediapolis is ranked No. 10 and both Winfield-Mt. Union and West Burlington were inside the top 15.
Mediapolis will be the host of the top two teams from each division.
Winfield-Mt. Union, 16-3, will square off with West Burlington, 13-5, in the first game of the night.
The second of the two slates will feature Notre Dame and Mediapolis, both sitting with an unblemished 18-0 record.
Louisa-Muscatine will host Highland and Holy Trinity, both 10-9. Central Lee, 12-7, will face Louisa-Muscatine, 13-4, in the final game of the night.
Van Buren County, 7-12, and Wapello, 9-10, will be the first of two games at Pekin. Pekin, 8-10, is matched up with Danville, 9-10.
In Lone Tree, Cardinal, 4-16, will take on Columbus, 3-16, and WACO, 8-11, goes up against Lone Tree, 6-14.
The last two seeds in the North and South Division, New London, 0-20, and Hillcrest Academy, 1-16, will meet at Hillcrest Academy.
