SPORTS BRIEFS: Freshmen football and swimming
The Fairfield freshmen football team lost to Williamsburg 40-14 Friday.

Swimming
The Fairfield swimming team competed in Tipton on Saturday.
The Trojans finished eighth out of the 10 teams that were there competing.
Katherine Mueller got first in diving, with a score of 366.25 for the 11 dives she did.
Baylee Bowman placed ninth in the 100 yard freestyle (59.15) and fourth in the 100 yard backstroke (1:05.83).
The swim team competes again on Oct. 8 in Keokuk.
