The Fairfield girls? golf team defeated Keokuk and Davis County in a triangular Thursday at Fairfield County Club.
The Trojans scored 225 strokes, while Davis County scored 247 and Keokuk had 268.

Fairfield girls? golf wins triangular
The Fairfield girls? golf team defeated Keokuk and Davis County in a triangular Thursday at Fairfield County Club.
The Trojans scored 225 strokes, while Davis County scored 247 and Keokuk had 268.
Fairfield?s Lindsey Repp shot a 47 to lead the field. Madalyn Whitaker of Keokuk was the runner-up medalist and shot a 50.
Repp?s teammate Olivia Hammel shot a 54. Abby Adam was next on Fairfield with a 61 and Madelyn Swan shot a 63. Kylee Marlay and Taylor Marlay rounded out the Trojans? varsity lineup.
Fairfield will face Davis County again on Tuesday.
MSAE tennis team defeats Iowa City
The Maharshi School of the Age of Englightenment boys? tennis team won at Iowa City High School Thursday.
The Pioneers won 9-0. Girandra Selleck defeated Iowa City?s No. 1 player, Holden Feigler, 6-3, 6-2. Selleck and David Fleshman teamed up to win their doubles match 9-8 (10-8).
?Girindra has improved so much from last year. I?m excited for him,? said MSAE coach Steve Briggs. ?He?s playing heads up, aggressive tennis, in singles as well as doubles.?
The Pioneers also got strong performances from Sam Stickels, Solaris Nite, Surya Sawhney and Chandre Morales.
The Pioneers play Fairfield High School on Monday.
Van Buren girls? track competes in Winfield meet
The Van Buren girls? track team competed at a track meet at Winfield-Mount Union Thursday.
The Warriors? best finish was a second place in the 400-meter by Rachel Warrick. Courtney Hervey placed third in the discus with a throw measured at 89?6?.
The 4x200-meter relay team, comprised of Kaitlyn Johnson, Kadie Meek, Kimmy Heisel and Bonnie Saunders, grabbed fourth place at the meet.
The sprint medley team, consisting of Johnson, Meek, Heisel and Jordan Gire, also finished in the fourth place. The 4x400 relay earned the Warriors another fourth place finish.
Winfield-Mount Union won the meet, with Wapello and West Burlington Notre Dame coming in second and third.
The Warriors run next in Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday.
