Ide Gymnastics wins more events
The Ide Gymnastics trampoline teams have competed at many recent events.
The team earned seven first place finishes in Waverly on March 22 and 23. The awards went to Olivia McClaran and Andrew Twohill for double mini, Kiara Bickham, Bryanna Popejoy and Twohill for trampoline, and McClaran for rod floor.

Ide Gymnastics wins more events
The Ide Gymnastics trampoline teams have competed at many recent events.
The team earned seven first place finishes in Waverly on March 22 and 23. The awards went to Olivia McClaran and Andrew Twohill for double mini, Kiara Bickham, Bryanna Popejoy and Twohill for trampoline, and McClaran for rod floor.
Second place awards went to Ashlyn Elmore and McClaran on trampoline, Elmore on double mini and Bella McClaran, Twohill and Emma Metcalf on rod floor.
The team earned 12 first place awards a week later in Winterset. Spencer Vaughan, Ella Jirak, Kaitlyn Greiner, Popejoy, McClaran, and Kristin Burnstedt each got first place in double mini.
Trampoline firsts included Twohill, Jirak, Popejoy, and McClaran.
Trista Benedict and Popejoy got first place in the rod floor competition. Vaughan, Michelle Zhang and Elmore each got second place on trampoline.
The gymnastics team brought home a number of awards from the Amerikids Gymnastics meet March 29-30 in Papillion, Nebraska.
Elmore finished first in the bars, beam and all-around competitions. Alexis Jirak earned first place in vault, bars and all-around. Ella Jirak received first place for floor and bars, while Zhang got first place in beam and bars.
Second place medals went to Elmore and Alani Diyaljee for floor, Alexis Jirak for beam, Twohill for high bar and Zhang for all-around.
Elmore, Ella Jirak and Zhang each received third place in vault. Twohill earned third place in the floor, pommel horse, rings, vault and all-around competitions.
MSAE falls to Nikes in tennis
The West Burlington Notre Dame girls? tennis team defeated Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment 8-1 Monday in Fairfield.
MSAE?s Dia Huggins provided a singles victory by the score of 8-5 over Carly Hoyer of the Nikes.
Huggins and teammate Jacqueline Leete fell in the No. 1 doubles match 8-4.
