MSAE boys? golf get best of Danville
The Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment boys? golf team defeated Danville 198-219 Tuesday at Walton Club in Fairfield.
Mickey DeAngelis led the Pioneers by shooting a 37, and was easily the meet medalist. DeAngelis now has two medal performances in three tries this year.
Nathaniel Zhu shot a 50 for MSAE and was the meet?s runner-up medalist.

MSAE boys? golf get best of Danville
The Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment boys? golf team defeated Danville 198-219 Tuesday at Walton Club in Fairfield.
Mickey DeAngelis led the Pioneers by shooting a 37, and was easily the meet medalist. DeAngelis now has two medal performances in three tries this year.
Nathaniel Zhu shot a 50 for MSAE and was the meet?s runner-up medalist.
?Another solid round for Nathaniel, and it was has first runner-up medalist performance,? MSAE coach Ed Hipp said.
Davin Titus shot a 55 and Brandon Prather-Hupp shot a 56 to help MSAE to the win.
The Pioneers are now 2-0 in duals, which brings their overall record counting tournaments to 4-5.
The Pioneers are scheduled to play today at West Burlington Notre Dame.
Sand volleyball league sign-up has been set
The Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department 2014 co-ed sand volleyball registration deadline has been set for June 6.
Interested players can sign up for either the men?s, women?s, and co-ed league. The price of each team is $30.
Each player can only play on one team. There is a maxium of four players on each team and each game will be umpired by the players.

FMS girls? track competes in Ottumwa meet
The Fairfield Middle School seventh and eighth-grade girls? track teams traveled to Ottumwa Tuesday.
The seventh-grade team won the meet with 133 team points. Ottumwa had 124 and finished in second place. Oskaloosa, Mt. Pleasant, Keokuk and Fort Madison rounded out the field.
Brynna Popejoy finished first in both the shot put and the discus. Ashley Bloomquist and Kara Jeffrey both earned two first place finishes as well, with Bloomquist running long distance and Jeffrey running sprint races. The Trojans also got first place in the high jump (Malory Jones) and in the 4x100 relay. The relay team was comprised of Julia Firtz, Olivia Roberts, Madyson Adkins and Alexis Jones.
Fritz got second in the discus, while Jeffrey placed second in the high jump. The Trojans would also take second place in the distance medley, the sprint medley and the 4x400 relay.
The eighth-grade team finished in second place, just one point behind Keokuk.
The distance medley team, comprised of Alie Kensett, Sophie Allen, Kristen Daugherty and Nicole Buch, earned first place with the time of 5:08.
Buch won the high jump, while Allen took home first in the shot put.
Fairfield took home multiple second place finishes, including Kensett in the discus, Amiah Neff in the 100-meter dash and Aluna Olaniyi in the 200-meter hurdles.
