The 2022 local sports season took us all around the state. Athletes competed at state basketball and state track and field in Des Moines, the ladder of which finished with two state team titles for Union area schools. We saw championships in Fort Dodge and Carroll, and even a couple of games at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls
