Area teams ready to make their mark in Fort Dodge

FORT DODGE — The 2025 state cross-country meet is finally here, or at least it will be by Friday morning!
Friday and Saturday will be jam-packed with action, as Southeast Iowa runners look to make their mark among the best of the best in the state.
Friday’s action will see the defending state champion Mid-Prairie girls headline the Class 2A competition, while freshman phenom Avery Fedler of Mt. Pleasant takes her No. 6 ranking into her first state race.
On Saturday, a packed field of Class 1A teams will battle it out, including both Van Buren County teams, the Columbus and Pekin boys and seven runners from various schools that made the state race individually.
Listed below are race times and area runners set to compete this weekend in Fort Dodge.
