State wrestling: Opening round matchups

DES MOINES — The area’s state wrestling qualifiers found out they would be on the respective brackets at Wells Fargo Arena over the weekend, and not too long after that, the Iowa High School Athletic Association released the brackets themselves.

First round matchups for the 2022 state meet are all set. Here is who the area’s grapplers will be facing in the openers.
