Stewart and Brenneman lead Huskies past Danville

Senior Derrick Stewart rushed for 195 yards and four touchdowns, and senior Trey Brenneman added 96 yards and three scores as Highland blew out visiting Danville 62-6 on Friday night.

Junior Jesse Hootman added 56 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Huskies (5-2, 4-1 Class A District 5), and junior Kody Wood completed all six of his passes for 63 yards. Senior Talon McFarland returned a punt 40 yards for a touchdown.

Hootman made seven tackles to lead the Highland defense, which limited Danville (3-4, 2-3 District 5) to 196 yards. Brenneman had six tackles and an interception, and senior Brett Walsh made six stops and recovered a fumble. Senior Tyler Owens also recovered a fumble, and senior Jake Tate picked off a pass.
