Stout helps Keota get road win

The Keota High School boys basketball team won by a single point Thursday at Brooklyn in a South Iowa Cedar League game.
Keota 70, BGM 69
JD Stout scored 40 points on 15 of 28 field goals including 3 of 8 3-pointers and 7 of 7 free throws in the win. He also had eight rebounds, three steals and two assists. Brady Duwa pulled down 11 rebounds while Luke Hammen pitched in 16 points, going 3 of 6 on threes.
Keota is 9-3 in the SICL, 10-6 overall and hosts English Valleys Tuesday.
Pekin 55, Iowa Mennonite 48
The visitors won this Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division game Thursday.
Eli Ours had 17 points in the loss.
IMS (8-5, 7-4) plays at Wapello Tuesday.
Winfield-Mt. Union 46, Columbus 34
Evan Rees led Columbus with nine points and Eric Valdez had eight Friday in the North home game.
Columbus plays at Washington Tuesday.
