Strong serving, defense are keys in New London sweep
BURLINGTON ? The New London varsity volleyball team defeated the Notre Dame Nikes in three sets Thursday night, Oct. 6. The Tigers are now 20-10 overall and 4-2 in conference play.
The Tigers never allowed Notre Dame to score more than 18 points, going 25-17, 25-18 and 25-18 to sweep the Nikes.

Speaking of defense, the Tigers tallied 106 on the night. Four players had double-digit digs for the night; Caitlin Rice led the way with 31, Caitlin Chiri added 20, Bria Mears and Taylor Landes each contributed 19 digs.
?We spread the offense as much as we could and tried to minimize their main hitters. It was a nice win for us,? Heath stated.
On offense the Tigers had 18 kills in the match. Twelve of the kills came from Koral Crossett.
New London next plays Monday, Oct. 10 hosting Harmony and Maharishi.
