Successful meets common for Ide Gymnastics athletes

FAIRFIELD - Ide Gymnastics has been busy in the past few months practicing, then excelling in competitions.
'What a great start to the season,” Jeanne Ide said of a November competition in Bettendorf.

Eight Ide Gymnastics athletes came home with 10 first-places finishes.
Marissa Rupe, competing in the Advanced level age 17 and over, brought home a hat trick of first places. Her three victories were in Power Tumbling, Double-Mini-Trampoline and Trampoline.
Ashlynn Adrian, Level age 10, brought back two first places, one in Power Tumbling and one in Double-Mini Trampoline.
Audrey Robinson, who is Intermediate level age 9, captured a title in Double-Mini Trampoline.
Kamryn Tharp, Beginner level age 7, Riley Lathrop, Novice level age 8, Kaylee Wright, Novice level age 11, and Sophia Zugg, Novice level age 10, all had a win in Trampoline.
Hope Barber, Beginner level age 7, received a second place in both Trampoline and Double-Mini Trampoline.
Ide Gymnastics hosted an AAU Trampoline and Tumbling competition at Cardinal High School in Eldon with the theme of Dream Big on Feb. 27.
Teams from Iowa came and competed along with 23 Ide Gymnastics athletes.
It was a banner day with a total of 33 first places wins for Ide.
Reagan Wise, Beginner level age 9, and Riley Lathrop, Beginner level age 8, each had three of the 33 with victories. Lathrop in Trampoline, Power Tumbling and Single-Mini Trampoline and Wise in Trampoline, Double-Mini and Single-Mini Trampoline.
Ashley Lyons, Beginner level age 11, Justin Simmering, Advanced level age 17 and over, Kaylee Wright, Novice level age 10, and Skylar Smith, Novice level age 11, each were double winners in Trampoline and Double-Mini Trampoline.
Marissa Rupe, age 17 and over, competed for the first time in the Elite level of her age division. Rupe had no problem at the new level, claiming a pair of first-place finishes.
Ava Kafar, Beginner level age 10, Audrey Robinson, Intermediate level age 9, and Dawson Wiggins, Beginner level age 7, each gathered up two first places in Trampoline and Single-Mini Trampoline.
Alleigh Pilcher, Beginner level age 5, was the best in both Power Tumbling and Single-Mini Trampoline.
Power Tumbling wins were scored by Hope Barber, Beginner level age 7, Johnnie Campbell and Vada Curran, both Beginner level age 4,
First place in Trampoline was produced by Trista Benedict, Advanced level age 17 and over, Scarlet Pappas, Beginner level age 6, Lydia Barker, Novice level age 13, and Kamryn Tharp, Beginner level age 7.
First place was won by Ashlynn Adrian, Novice level age 9, in Single-Mini Trampoline and Sophia Zugg, Novice level age 10, in Double-Mini Trampoline.
Eliana Ferdig, Beginner level age 9, received second in Single-Mini Trampoline.
Brooklyn Ledger, Beginner level age 7, brought home three third places and Sidney Huff, Novice level age 11, a fourth place in Trampoline.
'This was a very busy but profitable meet,” Eide said.
The next day, it was a different governing body as Ide Gymnastics was the host of a USTA Trampoline and Tumbling competition at Cardinal with the theme of Dream Big 2 Feb. 28.
Teams from Iowa and Illinois competed. Ide Gymnastics had 16 athletes compete and they totaled 11 first places.
Rupe, Elite level 17 and over, Barber, Beginner level age 7, and Kaylee Wright, Novice level age 10, all recorded first places in both Trampoline and Double-Mini Trampoline. Elisha Vander Linden, Beginner level age 8, was first in Double-Mini Trampoline and Power Tumbling. Other first places were Leigha Ensminger, Beginner level age 11, in Double-Mini Trampoline. Skylar Smith, Novice level age 11, in Trampoline and Reagan Wise, Beginner level age 11, in Trampoline.
Second place finishers were Riley Lathrop, Beginner level age 8, in Trampoline and Power Tumbling, Lydia Barker, Novice level age 12, in Double-Mini Trampoline and Trista Benedict, Advanced level age 17 and over, in Trampoline.
In Trampoline third place, Ide had Hailey Reinier, Advanced level age 14, Audrey Robinson, Intermediate level age 9, and Tharp, Beginner level age 7.
Hannah Gerdes, Beginner level on Double-Mini and Novice level on Trampoline received fourth places in both Trampoline and Double-Mini Trampoline. Ashlynn Adrian, Novice level age 10, was fourth in Double-Mini Trampoline and Sophia Zugg, Novice level age 10, was fourth in Trampoline.
