No, that headline isn’t a typo. Just over two months after the end of the 2025 high school girls tennis season, the schedule heads into a new school year. Just call it 2025 — Part 2.

Mt. Pleasant, Fairfield and Maharishi will begin a new journey during the first year of the fall girls tennis schedule, which starts up before any other fall sport, so early that you could argue it’s still in the summer.

On Thursday, Aug. 7, both Mt. Pleasant and Fairfield will hold home girls tennis matches. The Panthers will host Fort Madison in Southeast Conference play while the Trojans take on Centerville in a non-conference battle.

The fall tennis season will last from early August until late September.
