Three area athletes on the Dutch football team
Three area athletes are members of the Central College football team this season.
Landon Coker of Washington is a sophomore defensive back for the Dutch. He made 29 tackles and intercepted three passes for the Demons as a senior in 2010.

Landon Coker of Washington is a sophomore defensive back for the Dutch. He made 29 tackles and intercepted three passes for the Demons as a senior in 2010.
Jaemin Powell of Wellman is a freshman wide receiver for the Dutch. Powell was a senior quarterback/tailback for Mid-Prairie last season. He completed 43 percent of his passes for 440 yards and six touchdowns while throwing two interceptions. He also rushed for 555 yards and seven touchdowns and caught six passes for 138 yards.
Steven Clubb of Sigourney is a freshman defensive lineman for the Dutch. Clubb recorded 69 tackles, including six tackles for a loss and two sacks, as a senior for Sigourney-Keota last season. He also recovered two fumbles.
The Dutch have an .813 winning percentage since 1975, making them the second-winningest football program of any college or university in the U.S. during that time. Central has not had a losing season since 1960. The Dutch have captured a record 30 Iowa Conference championships with 20 NCAA Division III playoff berths, including 17 in the past 25 years.
Central returns 27 letterwinners from last year?s 7-3 squad. The Dutch (1-1) return to action on Sept. 22 at Albion, Mich.
