Three Columbus wrestlers advance to districts

Three Columbus wrestlers placed during sectionals at Williamsburg Saturday, Feb. 4.

Morrison Tucker (170) came in first place while both Jared Kadel (106) and Armando Quiroz (120) both took second place.

Tucker ? semifinals: won over Tucker Stanerson from Williamsburg by fall in 0:53; first-place match: won over Mike Hoyle from Solon by a 4-0 decision.

Kadel ? semifinals: won by a 4-2 decision over Zeb Gnida from Solon; first-place match: lost to Grayson Kesterson from Williamsburg by a 10-2 major decision; second place: won by rule the wrestle back rule over Gnida.

Quiroz ? semifinals: lost to Garrett Jenson from Williamsburg by a 4-2 margin in sudden victory; second place: won by fall in 1:12 over Hunter Northup from Benton Community.
