Three M-P wrestlers win at sectionals Saturday

Members of the Mid-Prairie wrestling team took part in sectionals action at Williamsburg Saturday, Feb. 4, with two finishing the day in first place: Duncan McCain (132) and Visouth Peterschmidt (182), while winning in second place was Jason Tew (220).

McCain won over Nick Marovets from Williamsburg by fall in 0:46 in the semifinals and won the first place match by fall in 1:18 over Christian Haight from Solon.

Peterschmidt (182) won the semifinals by fall in 3:12 over Samuel Maresh from Benton Community and won the first place match over Dillon Diltz from Solon by a 2-0 decision.

Tew  lost the semifinals to Zach Wegmann from Solon in 1:25 and took second place over Keaton Zimmerman from Williamsburg by fall 1:44.
