Tiger baseball team falls to Van Buren

KEOSAUQUA - The New London baseball team couldn't muster any runs against Van Buren starter Jaxon Thomas in a weather-shortened game on Tuesday night. Van Buren shut New London out 4-0 in just under six innings.
Van Buren led the game 3-0 after the first four frames, and added one on a Ryan Wolf solo homerun in the fifth. The Tigers could never get things rolling ont he offensive side.
The Tigers had just two hits in the loss. Carter Allen finished the game 1-2 and Darius Whaley was 1-3.
Whaley started the game and went all five innings. Whaley gave up four runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks, while striking out five batters.
New London is now 2-11. They'll travel to West Burlington on Thursday, June 27 for another SEISC South Division game.
