The Tigers received 22 points in the poll of league coaches, finishing one point behind Trinity International (Ill.) University for fifth. They were ranked ahead of Waldorf and Olivet Nazarene.
William Penn University was picked to win the league, receiving six of seven first-place votes and 55 points overall. The Statesmen tied for the MSFA Midwest title last year and finished the season with a 10-1 record.
