Tiger girls fall at Central Lee

DONNELLSON - The New London girls had a tough task on Tuesday night, opening up the season at Central Lee. The Tigers weren't able to hault the Hawks' offense in a 77-39 loss.
Central Lee led the game 18-10 after the first quarter and 39-19 at halftime. The Hawks stretched their lead to 61-28 at the end of the third quarter and walked out with a 38-point home win.
Marah Hartrick was the only New London player to reach double digits in the loss. She scored 13. Ashlyn McSorley, a freshman, was second in scoring with nine points.
The Tiger girls will host a talented Danville squad in their home opener. That game will be on Friday, Nov. 30.
