Tiger women fall at Westminster

FULTON, Mo. - The Iowa Wesleyan women's soccer team showed some defensive muscle in their road game at Westminster College on Tuesday night, but the offense couldn't produce in a 4-0 loss.
Westminster was able to put up two goals int he first period. Kate Pond found the back of the net in the seventh minute and Paige Price put one in in the 24th minute. At the half, Westminster held a 2-0 advantage.
The Tiger defense held Westminster scoreless over the next 50 minutes. Ponder put up her second goal of the game in the 75th minute. Kelsey Gordan tacked on Westminster's fourth goal, in the 88th minute.
Westminster outshot IW 35-1. The only Tiger shot of the day was by Ivet Rodriguez. That shot did wind up on goal.
Cheena Squib faced 14 shots on goal in the loss. She finished the night with 10 saves.
IW fell to 1-11-1 overall and 1-6 in conference play. The Tigers will take on Greenville University in their final road game tonight (Thursday) before closing out the season against MacMurray on Saturday, Nov. 2.
