Tiger women win Southeastern Spring Invite
Iowa Wesleyan rolls pair of community colleges, men’s team gets third

BURLINGTON — The Iowa Wesleyan golf teams were in Burlington on Monday to play in the Southeastern Community College Spring Invite, and the Tigers didn’t disappoint.
The Iowa Wesleyan women won the meet with flying colors, beating Hawkeye Community College by 27 strokes to claim victory, with a final stroke total of 382. The men’s team was third, shooting a 318, which was 23 strokes off from first.
The Tiger women were led by Aubrey Duncan, who took second individually in the meet, shooting a 90. Natalie Ames took fourth after finishing at 94.
Michal Wohlleber and Sami Wibben match each other’s total score of 99, which tied the two former Mt. Pleasant preps for eighth-place overall.
On the men’s side, Trace White tied for fifth with a 74, just four strokes back of former New London star Clayton Phillips, who took first place for Carl Sandburg Community College, with a 70.
Tate Nelson was the next Tiger down, shooting a 77, for ninth. Brevin Wilson shot a 79, to tie for 11th.
Colton Sherwood finished in a tie for 23rd, finishing the day at 84. Alex Dentlinger shot an 87, to tie for 30th, and Kenneth Tucker wass 33rd, with an 88.
Gavin Kies finished 35th overall with a 91. Brady Lukavsky and Bailey Shelledy each shot 93, to tie for 36th.
