Tigers claw Chiefs on the road

KEOKUK - The New London boys basketball team picked up a high-profile win on Saturday, knocking off one of the best teams in the Southeast Conference, and on the road no less. The Tigers beat Keokuk in their own house, 65-56.
New London didn't lose a quarter in the nine-point victory. The Tigers led 16-14 after the first quarter, 35-28 at halftime and 48-41 after three periods.
The Tiger posts dominated the game as Grant Swanson and Kade Benjamin combined for 46 points. Swanson led the way with 26 points and Benjamin added 20.
New London is now 9-4, and the Tigers have won six of their last seven games. They will play a make up game at Cardinal on Monday, January 27.
