Mears was the winning pitcher, evening her record to 1-1. She went all six innings with five strikouts and two walks.
?We definitely came out and hit the ball much better tonight,? Coach Troy Mears said. ?We had patience at the plate and swung at good pitches. We still need to toughen up on defense, though.?
The Tigers had five errors in the field on the night, but hope to cut that number down when they play in the WACO tournament on Saturday.
