?I don?t think we hit well enough to win the game but eight errors in the field won?t win us many games even if we are hitting the ball,? Coach Troy Mears said.
Jorgi Krieger walked twice in the game, stole two bases, and scored the team?s run.
The Tigers had only one hit in the game, a single by Bria Mears.
Mears was also the pitcher on the night; she struck out three and walked two.
?We have got to tighten up our defense and score more runs to be more competitive,? Mears said. ?We have looked much better in practice defensively. Hopefully it was just the first game jitters and we come back out much more fundamentally sound tonight at Central Lee.?
The Tigers travel to Donnellson tonight to face Central Lee, starting at 5:30 p.m.
