NEW LONDON ? The New London/Winfield-Mt. Union wrestling team opened it season with a double dual at home against Lisbon and West Liberty on Tuesday. The Tigers fell to both opponents.
NL/W-MU lost to Lisbon by a score of 45-27, and West Liberty beat the Tigers, 64-12.

NL/W-MU lost to Lisbon by a score of 45-27, and West Liberty beat the Tigers, 64-12.

Austin Hora (160) and Avery Jacobs (285) both won by forfeit, adding another 12 points to the Tigers? score.
Tanner Schneider scored three points with a win by decision over TJ Krob, 9-6, to round out NL/W-MU?s score.
In the dual against West Liberty, the Tigers? 12 points came from matches that Hora and Burns won by forfeit.
The Tigers had to forfeit at five weight classes in both matches; they have four open weight classes and were missing one wrestler who was sick.
In the dual between West Liberty and Lisbon, Lisbon won by a score of 45-21.
The Tigers wrestle again tonight (Thursday) in Burlington.
They then wrestle at home again on Saturday in the Jeremy Fulk Invitational in New London.
