Tigers lose two at Grand View
The Tigers found their offensive rhythm more in the second game of the season, but it wasn't enough as they fell to 0-2 on the year after another loss at the Grand View University Tip-Off Classic.

The Tigers found their offensive rhythm more in the second game of the season, but it wasn't enough as they fell to 0-2 on the year after another loss at the Grand View University Tip-Off Classic.
The Tigers were downed by Mt. Mercy University, 70-54, on Saturday afternoon, and dropped their season opener against the host team, Grand View, on Friday night, 79-37.
In Friday night?s opener, Michelle Price led the Tigers with eight points; Danielle Des Jardins, Kara Carter and Mariah Sartorius each had six points.
On the night, the team shot only 11-of-48 from the field, including two-for-12 from behind the three-point line.
Ashley Kruse led the defense with nine of the team?s 27 rebounds; Price and Sartorius each had five.
On Saturday, two Tigers scored in double figures against the Mustangs.
Kruse put up 15 points, shooting five-for-16 from the field, and she once again had a team-high nine rebounds. Des Jardins and Sartorius each had five rebounds.
Sartorius added 13 points for the Tigers on four-for-nine shooting.
Carter, Price and Des Jardins had seven points each.
The Tigers defense recorded seven blocks, led by Kruse who had three. Carter added two blocks, while Price also had a block.
Next up for the Tigers is a trip to Mt. Mercy University on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 9-10, for the Mt. Mercy Classic, as they continue an six-game road trip before opening at home on Nov. 21.
