Tigers run at SLIAC championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Iowa Wesleyan cross-country team was at Sawyer State Park over the weekend for the SLIAC meet. The Tigers didn't have enough runners for a team score in either race.
The top runner on the day for IW was Sierra Howardson. The sophomore finished the race in 25:00.36, taking 11th place and earning a spot on the second-team All-Conference team.
Allison Morris took 28th overall with a final time of 27:41.22. Veronica Morgan placed 40th, in 31:19.90, and Sierra Bartulis took 48th, in 51:48.56.
The IW men were led by Nico Sheck and Nathaniel Townsend. Sheck took 24th, in 29:00.26, and Townsend finished 25th, in 29:00.99.
Ryan Hutchinson finished 33rd overall with a time of 30:15.46. Xavier Morre rounded out the Tiger men with a 58th-place 40:10.50.
The Tigers will take part in the NCAA D3 Midwest Regionals on Saturday, Nov. 16. That meet will take place in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
